Hainan - A hostel boss in Haikou has been jailed for six months for throwing a corpse into a river because he did not want the death to affect his business, Xinhua reports. Police said the dead man was a drug addict who had checked into the hostel with a woman. When she reported the man had died, the hostel owner wrapped the body in a sheet, put it in a cardboard box and dumped it. Six days later the box floated to the surface. Police charged him with "insulting a dead person".
